As winter settles over Kingham, the countryside takes on its own quiet kind of magic, with crisp mornings, hedgerows dusted with frost, and that unmistakable sense of anticipation that December brings. It’s in this spirit that we invite you to join The Wandering Rabbit, a festive walk celebrating the season, the land, and the simple pleasure of moving slowly through nature.
Guests gather at The Wild Rabbit from 10.30am, with warming, freshly brewed coffee as they meet our expert guide. Wellies and coats are on hand for anyone who needs them, ready for the journey ahead.
At 11am, the group sets off, stepping into the winter light and out across our Daylesford estate, where fields, woodlands and farm tracks reveal the landscape wintery form.
The walk winds its way toward Daylesford Farm, pausing at the Market Garden. Here, guests are welcomed with Bullshot cocktails, mulled wine, and festive snacks made with ingredients grown just a few steps away.
From there, the path leads to the Daylesford Farmshop, filled with seasonal produce and artisan treats, before circling back toward Kingham. Along the return route, one final delight awaits: more warming cocktails and mince pies served from the back of our Daylesford cocktail Land Rover.
As the walk ends, guests return to The Wild Rabbit, where the crackling fires in the pub provide the perfect close to a winter’s ramble.
The Wandering Rabbit is more than a walk, it’s a celebration of nature and good company.
