Big Feastival is just down the road from The Wild Rabbit, at Alex James’ Farm in Kingham. This year’s music line-up is stacked with iconic names and crowd favourites. Nelly Furtado headlines Friday with her era-defining pop hits, while Faithless (Live) take over Saturday with their timeless dance anthems. Sunday sees the world premiere of Alex James’ Britpop Classical – a full orchestral take on ’90s classics from Blur, Oasis, Pulp and more – with very special including Phil Daniels, Gary Stringer and more guests to be announced. Joining across the weekend are Travis, The Wombats, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Rizzle Kicks, Tom Walker, Maxïmo Park, Scouting For Girls and The Pigeon Detectives. Daniel Bedingfield, Mabel, Caity Baser, The Waeve, Toby Lee and a host of rising talent complete the musical bill, with The Cuban Brothers bringing their unmissable chaos to the farm.
The chef line-up is just as impressive, headlined by the legendary Raymond Blanc and Si King of The Hairy Bikers. They are joined by Simon Rimmer, Emily English and Bake Off’s Cherish Finden, along with experimental chefs like August Bernstein, DJ BBQ, Elizabeth Haigh and Gaz Oakley. George Egg’s playful food hacks and a raft of rising culinary stars – from Karan Gokani to Sally Abé – promise a packed schedule of demos, workshops and feasts. Raymond Blanc’s Cookery School returns, alongside The Fire Pit, Masterclasses, Street Food Circus and a brand-new Lazy Lunch experience with Ben Quinn.
Family fun is at the heart of Big Feastival, with Justin Fletcher, Oti Mabuse’s dance class, Hey Duggee meet-and-greets and circus antics from The Flying Seagull Project and Farmyard Circus. Kids can go wild in Lizzie’s Way, the ultimate creative and colourful woodland play area, or meet the animals at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park. The grown-ups can unwind with top-tier comedy from Bridget Christie recently seen as Linda in Channel 4’s The Change, Lou Sanders recently seen on Amazon Prime’s smash hit Last One Laughing and Lucy Beaumont plus live podcast recordings, stand-up from former celebrity MasterChef contestant Eshaan Akbar and more.
